Volubilis is Morocco's most important archaeological site, a UNESCO-listed Roman city at the foot of the Zerhoun. Its in-situ mosaics, its triumphal arch and its capitol tell the story of ancient Mauretania.
A few kilometres away, the holy town of Moulay Idriss rounds off the visit. Volubilis combines naturally with Meknes and Fez.
A former Roman outpost. UNESCO cites it as one of the richest archaeological sites in North Africa, a witness to centuries of exchange between Mediterranean cultures.
