Tucked into the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen casts a spell with lanes painted entirely in blue. Founded in the 15th century, the blue city is one of the most photographed places in Morocco.
You wander with no particular aim, from Outa el-Hammam square to the kasbah, among craft stalls, Rif carpets and cool springs, with walks possible out to the Akchour waterfalls.

How many nights do we allow there?
One to two nights: a day for the medina, a second for the walk to Akchour.
How do we get you there?
By road, with a driver: about four hours from Fez, two from Tangier, one from Tetouan. Chefchaouen is a stop on our northern tours.
What time of day do we visit the medina?
Early morning and late afternoon: the blue turns soft and the lanes are quiet. That is how we set the schedule.
